Meghan and Chris are one of our latest couples to say their beachy “I Do’s” surrounded by family and friends at the gorgeous all-inclusive luxury resort, Finest Playa Mujeres, Mexico.

Meg is originally from the East Coast and her man, born in England and raised in Scotland. When he moved to her town, he joined the same gym Meg had been a member of for a couple years. They became friends, started dating, and the rest is history! Meg remembers leaving the gym one day early in their relationship thinking “I need to find myself a husband, just like him!” Well… dreams do come true, as they are now living their happily ever after!

A beach wedding was an easy decision for Meg and Chris. His proposal was at one of their favorite resorts in Mexico. That proposal did not come without its snafu’s, Meg shares: “Chris had planned a romantic dinner on the beach for one of the first few nights they were there. It was his plan to pop the question at that romantic dinner. Well… being a Red Sox fan, as he is, once he learned they were playing the World Series the night of that romantic dinner, he asked if they could postpone it. Meg was the one who actually cancelled the romantic dinner on the beach… unbeknownst to her, she was also cancelling his proposal. But, the Red Sox won, the romantic dinner was rescheduled, he popped the question, she said yes, and even the rain that poured down on their romantic dinner did not spoil their excitement!

Yet… there was more rain to come. The day of the wedding they awoke to cloudy Mexican skies, and light rain. But, being avid beach lovers, they knew the weather in the tropics can change minute by minute. As the ceremony time approached, the rain stopped and clouds parted. They moved forward with keeping the ceremony on the beach. Everyone was in place, except for 2 key people… their dads! After a brief search, the dads were located (sharing a drink at the bar!!), but… during the search? More rain started. It was light and they went ahead with the beach wedding.

When it rains… it pours. This time it poured a whole lotta LOVE!

Chris and Meg were just a joy to work with, and we wish them years of much happiness! Oh… and some blue skies and sunshine!
